Using AR technology to create an interactive experience during new store launch

Fandora opened its first physical store during their 5th anniversary of cute plush character BugCat-Capoo (貓貓蟲咖波) – the most popular among all Fandora characters. The launch of the store was paired with a WebAR event, allowing players to participate directly using their own mobile devices.

To join in this event, simply scan the trigger stickers to collect points and unlock cute photo frames featuring your favourite characters. Everyone stands a chance to win gifts and bring lovely Fandora merchandise home.

A new development to streamline food ordering process

Malls are a popular choice when we consider where to eat out. However, it may sometimes be confusing to navigate through the various stores to find these eateries. There may also be a long queue, all that time wasted in waiting to place your order.

As a solution to this issue, the Future Commerce Exhibition invited Arplanet to customize a solution. We partnered with QLiEER (客立樂) to develop a new AR ordering system. Restaurant patrons order from the comfort of their seats, see the items in 3D, and make payment all through the app. There’s a mascot that guides you through the entire process. Food is delivered to the table, where patrons can enjoy hassle free.

Integrating AR in a community performance for a better storytelling experience

The Rainbow Kids Education is a non-profit life education organisation in Taiwan, and they have been performing in their own Christmas musical since 2000. They launched Dr. Lyle’s Amazing Encyclopaedia in 2018, and incorporated AR into the performance, so children can be a part of this interactive exhibition. Children can colour Dr. Lyle based on their imagination, and watch him come to life using the marq+ app. Take pictures with Dr. Lyle, and let him educate you more about the Rainbow Kids Education and what they are doing.

Using AR in mobile payment system for a fun experience

Do people still pay cash when making a purchase? It seems everyone is going cashless now. Mobile payments are simple and convenient to use – leave your wallets, cash, and loose change at home! Do people still queue up to make payments for taxes and bills? Use mobile payment, and you can pay anywhere – at home, in bed, at work – it’s easy to pay.

Arplanet launched an event with Taichung City Government to encourage the general public to pay taxes using their mobile phones. Incorporating AR for a more interactive experience, users can participate by showing photos of their AR payment experience, and stand a chance to win attractive prizes.

Taiwan High Speed Rail e-shop

Enter a virtual fitting room and experience AR shopping during your journey

While travelling on the Taiwan High Speed Rail, passengers can use ARPlanet’s specialty marq+ app to unlock AR content on the TLife in-car magazine placed in the front pockets of the seats.

As long as travellers have the marq+ AR app on their mobile phones, easily access the products available on the Tshop (Taiwan High Speed Rail e-shop), and see these items in 3D view.

Travellers simply need to scan the QR code, conveniently accessed via billboard advertisements across 8 main stations, and they can easily download the marq+ app, launching it to buy commemorative merchandise. Alternatively, scan the product images on the advertisement or the Tshop brochure, and try the products on in real-time!
